Software Tracking
Software Tracking allows
you to review how long a program was opened and how long it was
actually used by the user. For example, a browser might
be running for 6 hours on a desktop but the user might
have only actually used it for 2 hours. Resource Monitor™
captures both of these times for your analysis.
There are two types of software tracking available
within Resource Monitor. You can track specific software
(software metering) or track all software that runs on a workstation.
Tracking all software allows you to see exactly what the
user is running during the day while
software metering allows you to concentrate on specific
applications. Software Metering can also assist you with
software licensing requirements.

Software can also be metered
(states the number of licenses for the software). |
