Software Blocking
Control when a workstation
can use software.
Blocking or limiting the use of software can be one of the
most significant methods to improve productivity and
stops the unauthorized use of software. Whether it is
games software, chat software, Internet browsers or proprietary
applications, Resource Monitor can enforce your organization's
computer usage policy.
Resource Monitor comes with two predefined blocking
groups and allows you to set up unlimited blocking groups
to meet your needs. Blocking groups define periods of
time when a software application cannot be run. When
a user tries to run the software, a message is presented to
the user and the application is terminated.
A default blocking group is assigned to an application but
you are allowed to override this group on a per workstation
basis. You can also turn off blocking on a per workstation
basis.

Any exe can be blocked. |

Create unlimited user defined blocking
groups. |
| |
A default blocking group
can be set up by software application. This can be changed
by workstation. |
| |
A workstation can be set
to override the blocking on a per application basis. |
| |
Blocking groups can have
multiple blocking times during a day. (i.e. 7:00AM to
11:59 AM and 1:00PM to 5:00PM). |
