Hardware inventory provides you with a list of system information and the devices installed on a system. You can review this list by system or by device.  Reports are also available.

The first time a system reports to the database, the monitoring client will gather the system’s inventory and report it to the database.  You can also enter an "Asset Number" and "Department" for reporting purposes.

Microsoft's WMI (which is preinstalled on Windows ME, NT, 2000 and XP) is required.  Windows 95 and 98 might require you to download and install WMI.  You can download this software by following this link.  WMI 95/98 Download  This file is 3.5 MB in size.
