Software Blocking
and limiting software usage
Control When Software
Can Be Used
If someone is using inappropriate software or abusing software,
you can easily put a stop to it. For example, if your
child comes home from school and gets distracted by playing
computer games instead of doing homework, limit the time games
can be played. If you find out that your child is using
totally inappropriate software, block the ability to run it,
anytime.
PCMonitor™ allows you to easy block the
use of a software application or set up a schedule when the
software can be used. You can also set daily or weekly
time limits for a software application. The limits
can also vary by user to allow you total flexibility.

If the user requires a
little more time to finish, an administrator can temporary
extend the amount of time for the application to run if you
enable the time remaining icon to be displayed in the systray
(lower right corner of the desktop). This is done within
the administrative client under "System and User Options".
Once enabled the user can review how much time they have
remaining and only an administrator can temporarily extend the
time.
